Beautiful colors, nice drape, fabric ok, off sizing

I bought this sweater in three colors because I love 100% cotton clothing items, and I work in an air conditioned office, so the idea of an "all year fabric" appealed to me. I bought the "oatmeal", the dark green, and the dark brown. The oatmeal is so beautiful and reminds me of seashells, but it's ...

Quality not there

I'm leaning toward returning the 2 of these I bought. I feel Old Navy sweaters are hit and miss in quality. These lured me in with 100% cotton, and I did buy 2 last year here that were good cotton sweaters. As another review states, these are like yarn store feeling and the loose weave seems extreme...

I got it in the green and it's pretty, soft, and lightweight. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to how big it was in the photos but it's as advertised-- oversized and long. If you want it to fit smaller go down a size.

a nice sweater, I got the Spice color and it runs wide and seems tunic length out of the bag. this year's tunic length is a non-cropped regular length in my opinion. once washed it shrunk in length to a manageable normal non cropped length-fine with me! I weigh 160, 5'4" and I got the large, which is roomy, could have probably gotten the medium but don't want anything too snug on my too large belly. fabric is very lightweight, probably not warm enough for the dead of winter in New England.

I bought this sweater in three colors because I love 100% cotton clothing items, and I work in an air conditioned office, so the idea of an "all year fabric" appealed to me. I bought the "oatmeal", the dark green, and the dark brown. The oatmeal is so beautiful and reminds me of seashells, but it's definitely oversized and looks a little sloppy on me. I'm between a medium and a large in knits, and the large was very long (covers my butt!) and definitely on the wide side. I'm also short, so the sleeves were a bit too long. I don't mind an oversized sweater in my personal time, so I'll wear that one more casually. It did not shrink in the wash the first time, but it did seem to stretch a tiny bit throughout the day. I just got the dark green and brown in today. The dark green in large fits closer to what I would consider a "classic" fit large, and I think it's a much better fit for work (not too oversize and the sleeves seem to fit better). The dark brown in large is oversized like the oatmeal with very long sleeves, and I will probably return that one for a medium or maybe even a petite medium. On a tall person with longer arms, maybe the oatmeal and dark brown would drape better. All the colors are beautiful. The fabric is not as nice as the American flag seaside cotton sweaters - it reminds me a bit of craft store yarn, but I think the weave itself is really pretty, and the sweaters aren't scratchy, but they're not silky either.

I hope it doesn't shrink in the length at all. The brown color is really nice.

Expectation Let Down

If you were expecting a chunkier knit similar to the shaker cotton sweaters from the 80s and 90s, you will be disappointed. These sweaters are very thin and rather shapeless, which I found disappointing, especially since I really liked the colors I ordered—Mysterious Fern and Spice of Life. I've learned my lesson: it's better to shop in-store rather than online to ensure that my expectations are met.

i bought two of these because I loved the color options but the fabric felt kind of rough/cheap and seemed like it would quickly become shapeless after washing.

I am always so excited to find a 100% cotton sweater, so I bought this one in three different colors - all size large. Unfortunately when they arrived, all three were a different size. The green was the most true to size, though it did feel like it ran a bit big. Meanwhile the maroon fit more like an XXL, and the black was closer to an XL. Overall the quality was good, it's the perfect lightweight sweater, but unfortunately the fit was off so I will be returning them all.

Enough with The Ribbing ON!

I really wish Old Navy would stop with the RIBBED Sweaters! I love the tunic length and shape of them but it seems like every sweater or top here is ribbed. Ribbing cheapens the look and they're not inexpensive enough to warrant it!

I'm leaning toward returning the 2 of these I bought. I feel Old Navy sweaters are hit and miss in quality. These lured me in with 100% cotton, and I did buy 2 last year here that were good cotton sweaters. As another review states, these are like yarn store feeling and the loose weave seems extremely catchy. I am careful with clothes and don't do the dryer with sweaters, but someone saying they fuzzed up on delicate makes me want my money back. The fit is fine (medium is good and I straddle the m/l line).
