I really want to like this dress. For reference I'm 5' 0" tall, weigh about 180 to 185 and wear L or XL, 12 or 14 pants. This is very stretchy and comfortable. If you are between sizes definitely size down. I like the midi look so I bought in L petite. I may have been able to size down one more. The... length was perfect. I did notice the dress has some "poofing" around the bust but I did not mind that too much. I wish it had pockets. The middle scrunching sits weird on me as I am middle heavy. I don't generally gravitate to dresses since they tend to sit weird on my body shape, but a couple of staple pieces are always needed. I can see me wearing this if I got pregnant again as the fabric is very forgiving. I liked it so much I bought 2 colors. The fit is not so flattering on me to wear by itself, but I would definitely wear this with a short cardigan and flats or sandals.
Warning other girlies if you get hot easy, like I do this thing is THICK its like a blanket. Absolutely no air gets through unless you lift it up and even then your upper half is still roasting. It is sweltering in the sun and warm weather. Also runs large, size down so there is less fabric to smoth...er you and it doesn't even have pockets like my other old navy dresses. It is nice on a freezing beach with 30mph winds, i live in oregon the coast is always windy and cold, the weight is so heavy it doesn't even blow up in the coastal winds, but the valley where I live it is 90-100 degrees or warmer, for at least 4 months. I wore it on an 80 degree sunny day and about died. Would've been better to wear in the winter with a cardigan. I have a lot of these dresses from old navy in this style over the years, ordered 3 colors of this particular one, green, black and red and this rayon is so much thicker than any of my other regular cotton ones. Maybe its because its "rayon" not regular "cotton" but I have other rayon clothing items that aren't this thick i mean its so bad I probably wont wear it again until fall.

I fell in love with this dress the moment I put it on! The fabric is stretchy and a little on the heavier side, but still feels very light and airy, and the weight of it sort of gently "pulls" everything into place in the most flattering way. Plan on getting one in every color/pattern!

I ordered this in 2 colors and am torn between which color to keep...I'm so torn I may have to keep both! I'm a mom of 3, 5'-7" and about 145-150lbs and I am impressed with this dress. It's soft, flattering and forgiving. I love that it's comfortable but still gives me a waist with the smocking. I don't normally love smocking, but this is just enough to give shape to the dress and then flare out into the skirt without too much fabric. I feel like I can dress it up for work and down for the weekends.
