My daughter and I were so happy to find shorts of this length! Other than bike shorts, most girls' shorts are barely long enough to cover her butt, and the inseam doesn't seem to increase with bigger sizes. As an 11yo, she finds this medium length much more comfortable. The stripes are also super-cu...te. We'd love to see more shorts like this at Old Navy. Size-wise, the cut is wider. Loose fitting pants and shorts are a popular trend for preteens and teens right now, but I'd still suggest getting a size smaller than usual.
These shorts look cute but they run huge. The description states "functional drawstring" but it is NOT functional, it is a decorative drawstring only. There is no way to adjust the waist size.
