I decided to go to the store and do a try-on, instead of "wait and see if it actually fits"when it arrives via delivery. Well, so glad I did, because I almost ordered the medium regular on line, due to all the reviews. I guess the medium regular would have fit also, but I didn't really try that size... in store. I went for my usual size: large ( instead of large petite). I'm 5'1 and around 160-180 lbs, with a belly that I'm trying to get rid of. So yeah, I fell in love with the paisley prints instead of the solid colors of gladiola or brown. I was surprised, it fits well, and planned to wear a belt to accentuate my curves. But happy because it's flowy and has pockets. Might be a little stiff and it's not lined. It's not see-thru, but just try not to stand on a lighted floor. I think it looks gorgeous on a full figure person. It hits a little above the knee. So I bought it in person instead.
I ordered the brown and green dresses is size xs tall. The brown one is perfect- my favorite dress, hits a couple inches above the knee on me. The green one in the exact same size is more than 2 inches longer and looks like a baggy tent. Bummed since I love the brown one so much that I would have... been so happy to also have it in green, but the green is unflattering and being returned. May try to buy it in xs regular to see if that works better, but I find it strange and annoying in the length descrepency for the same item in different colors.

Old Navy always has wonderful options in 100% cotton poplin. I'm using this dress as a jumper or apron over cropped wide jeans and shirts. It creates a very Kawakubo look.

I got 2 of these dresses (one in white paisley and one in white stripe) and have enjoyed wearing them as house dresses during warm weather. I am pair shaped and got my usual size of 3x and fits great.Since the dress flares out go with your bust measurement for the sizing. I really like swing dresses and want to see more of them. I like that it's 100% cotton. Some other reviews describe the fabric as stiff. It does have some body to it, which I like because that makes the fabric not clingy or see through. And has pockets.

TLDR: I disagree with other reviews. I think this piece is really well made. Just be sure to size down and be prepared for a loose fit! I stumbled on this dress in the store today while shopping for a beach coverup. I would have never bought it by looking at it online. I don't typically buy loose fitting dresses…But, the fabric and the paisley pattern of this dress caught my eye so I tried it on. Right away, I loved the fabric. It feels like cotton poplin. Structured and very cool feeling. I am always a large at ON and I did end up sizing down to a medium. It doesn't seem like the type of fabric that would shrink. Even sizing down it's very loose fitting. I think it'll be great for wearing over a swimsuit on a hot summer day!
