The panel hits at belly button. And is quite tight, giving belly a b shape if not fully round or firm tummy. Overall fit is good. I'm 5' 3" and pants skimmed the top of my foot. These jeans look great and fit so well. I'm 5'4", currently ~156 lbs, average build/proportions and ordered a size 10 regular and it fits true to size with the legs skimming the floor while barefoot. They're stretchy enough to be comfortable without feeling like I'm wearing not-jeans.

These are really comfortable and the quality is great for such a good price. I'm 5'7 and these hit right at the ankles. I wish they were a tad bit longer or offered in "long/tall". So I just won't put them in the dryer. But overall love them!
