These are my go-to shorts for summer and fit really nicely. I'm 5'4 and 120lbs and the S is roomy and comfortable. Not too short or baggy but not too tight. The waist is super comfortable and stretchy. I will take a star off because last summer these shorts had two pockets on the back (which was gre...at as a mom to stash my phone or keys while toting kids around) but they don't have back pockets this year. They still have full, useful side pockets but the look is different without the back pockets. Still my favorite shorts though!
I love these shorts; however, I have been forced to buy a brand new set every single year. The shorts are remaining the same ridiculous price (I have the receipts) but are becoming cheaper in quality every single year. I started buying these 5 years ago. The first set were decent, but the material r...ipped in the butt area within a year. Next year, same. Next year, same again. Rinse, repeat. The set I bought last year? Whew. Ripped the soonest of all sets. And then, this year, they've had the audacity to remove the back pockets (thank you other reviewer for mentioning this)! Why?? You're charging the same price ($20+ if not on sale) and you're now removing pockets. Anyone who hasn't lived under a rock for the past 20 years knows that women have been protesting online for MORE POCKETS. And here Old Navy is...removing pockets. Another thing, if you plan on purchasing a few of these in different colors, make sure you purchase your original size and a size up and return whatever doesn't fit. The colors are *not* true-to-size. Last year, the rusty orange (rusty moon?) color ran extremely small. This year, it's seems that the black is the smaller one of the colors. I just want companies to make decent products. Not this stuff that's meant to only last 9 months and end up in a landfill. I would be willing to pay $30-40 (probably more) for a product that'll last me longer. But, alas, that is not the company's motto. The motto is make the quickest buck making the cheapest product so they'll come running back in less than a year. This'll probably be the last set I purchase from Old Navy because I know for a fact they will rip in less than 9 months.

These are great shorts! I needed to find shorts for a trip but it was February so I wasn't sure what I'd be able to find (if anything). These are great! They are super lightweight and comfortable. They are also perfect for my carry on so I may carry a pair of shorts to change into after my flight, the fabric is thin enough so it doesn't take up a bunch of room but the fabric is not see through or has any issues due to it being thin. They are absolutely going for lightweight but good quality and they nailed it.

I tried these on when they arrived and I adored them. I chose the lightly vertical striped ones in shades of blue white and gray. They fit very comfortably at my waist and they are a very suitable length indeed. The pockets are a plus and it looks like I can dress them up or down which is a bonus perk for sure. Good for spring and summer days. I would like to pick up more patterns but as for now one will do unless there is an awesome sale arising soon! Thank you for the efficient design.
