The good: light weight cotton, not see through, flattering cut, love that it comes in tall sizes, great length, and for me the fact that it isn't sleeveless is a huge plus. The not so good: sizing isn't consistent. I purchased this dress in both colors, regular and tall sizes. The black dress was ...larger than the blue, and felt like two different sizes. Both blue dresses that I ordered were too small, one smaller than the other actually…but both black were a good fit. Another con is the buttons gape right around the waist on all of the dresses. One last con, no pockets. This dress needs pockets. All dresses need pockets.
The color and shape of the dress is great. I love that's it's not too low cut. It's actually nice to find a dress that's a little more roomy around the arms and chest while having a fitted waist (not just a shapeless bag); however, the fitted waist was too fitted for my body. I was able to button th...e waist but then not a lot of room to breathe or move. For a size large I expected a larger waist size. Maybe I should have ordered a size up. (5'9" 185lbs) But IF the waist does fit you, it's a wonderful dress otherwise. Sadly I'll have to return.

oldnavy.gapcanada.caI bought the black one and it is very flattering and comfortable. Seems to be true to the size. I wear size 18 bottoms and 44D bras and the size XXL fit perfectly. Not many models are flattering in plus sizes, but this one is. The fabric is definitely light shirt fabric perfect for summer, but will need ironing. Overall: highly recommend!

I sized down from my normal size and love it! The style and look is amazing. I am smaller chested so had to no issues there. But I will say that the armpit hole is bigger than I thought and when I raise my arms you'll be able to see my bra. Also the dress as a whole moves up and bunches at my shoulders when raising lifting my arm since there's no dedicated sleeve.(i have littles so lots of arms movements) So besides those issues and getting the dress on sale I say it's worth it because it looks so good on once you find your right size, just don't lift your arms haha.

I love this dress! I'm 5'8" and 155lbs and a medium was perfect on me. I got the stripe and it's a lightweight cotton, very comfortable. I do wish it had pockets! I would LOVE this dress in a 1" pink and white stripe, or a floral. The structure at the waist is so pretty!

I have the popular Anthropologie shirt dress and LOVE it, so I thought I'd take a chance with the Old Navy version at a fraction of the cost. I'm not completely disappointed, but there are definitely some differences that reflect the price point. No pockets. Boo. The fabric is a lightweight cotton shirting that gets really wrinkled. A good steam and press with starch helps give it a more structured look, but don't expect it without some care. I bought it in both black and the blue stripe and I love both colorways. I am 50 years old, barely 5'1" and 120 lbs, a 32F bust, and the petite small fits well. I did order the blue stripe dress again to compare sizing because in true GAP brands fashion, sizing is Inconsistent and the blue fit bigger than the black in the same size. I would recommend taking a shot with this dress.
