These shorts fit my waist and hips nicely, though I wish the cut of the thigh section was a bit more flared like how it shows in the pictures. My biggest issue is with the distressed parts. The slit on the right thigh is too wide, evenly horizontal, almost like it was surgically cut. It looks too in...tentional and out of place. And after washing, the raw hem gets tangled and overly distressed. Both are easy fixes: a patch for inside the slit and a quick trim of the loose threads on the hem. Overall I kept them because they fit nicely and the cons are pretty simple to address.
Was really hoping to like these because it's so hard to find Jean shorts that fit me these days. I have wide hips and medium thick thighs (size 8, 5'7") and these were super big through the thighs and too long. They really accentuate my lower stomach in an unsettling way. Returning

I'm typically a size 10 in jeans, but size up in jean shorts since I have thicker thighs and hate shots riding up! The 12 in these were just too too big on me, so I returned and bought the size 10s instead. Definitely a good call - still give that looser baggy look/feel without being too big on my waist. For reference, I'm about 5'10" tall, 175-180 lbs and am pear shaped. I have a more narrow waist and wider hips/thighs.

Great price for the quality. Stretchier material for us curvier girls. I will say the 5" is a bit short if you have thighs that chafe but there's products you can always buy to help with that.
