I am a women's XS in old navy shorts. I ordered the girls size XL for pool, workout, and sleep shorts, and the fit is perfect. The shorts lie on your hips rather than waist so the cut is low. They fully cover my buns and the inseam is long enough for all occasions. Note that there are a few colors t...hat don't show a drawstring waist because they only have elastic, which fit well, but it's more restrictive to adjusting. These wear well wash after wash, they don't shrink in the dryer, are thick, do not wrinkle, and are very durable and comfortable. I had one pair last five years before they started to slightly pill. I'm 5'5" and 108lbs with size 25 waist (high part near belly button but irrelevant because they sit on hips) and 35" hips. A size L was too short and snug in hips. The XL fits perfect.
Why are they designing these shorts for our daughters to hang out of? No modest coverage even though i sized up hoping for a bigger fit. Im sock of getting the right sizes and they either shrink or or are already to too short in the legs. 3" how???? Sleep shorts at best will be returning i dont nee...d anymore sleeping shorts. My daughter is 10/12 bought 14
