I read all the reviews stating to size down. I went into the store to try these on. I typically wear a Curvy size 6 or 8 at Old Navy and have several pairs of the OGC Chino pants in size medium. I tried on the shorts in a size small. They fit, but the front pleats pulled funny and I was afraid i...f there was any shrinkage it would be really bad. The size medium looked better on, at least from the front. The problem is with the back. The amount of and strength of the elastic gives the shorts diaper butt. The elastic runs the entire back of the short. If they would shorten the length of the elastic, or make it not such a tight elastic, this problem would be eliminated. Or get rid of the front pleats so I could size down without the front looking bad. I will say, they are super comfortable, so I will just wear them around the house. I washed them and put them in the dryer and there was little to no shrinkage that I could tell. Also, I tried the pale pink ones on in store...and I could see the care tag through the fabric, as well as the white pocket fabric, so beware that color is a little see through.
