Ok! So, I bought ON's shorts similar to these years ago, and though I am not one to wear shorts out in public, I did wear those. Loved them. I could see from the photo that these were a little fuller in the leg, but assumed it was the model's pose. Not so. these are pretty full, and I am on the... fence about that. However, I will keep them for hot days and be glad to have them. The waist is snug, but not too snug, and the overall fit is good. I am 5'6" and 135lbs. The medium fits perfectly.
If you are an hourglass frame with thick thighs, these shorts might not work super great. I am 36" waist and 47" hips and wear a 14 in Old Navy pants and the large is perfect in the waist but way too small in the thighs (weirdly super baggy in the crotch because of the cut of the shorts) and the XL ...is wayyyy too big in the waist but the legs are perfect. I had such high hopes for these shorts and I'm bummed in the drastic size difference between the L and XL! 3 stars because it wouldn't let me go back to change the rating, I'd really give it 1-2 stars because of the potential.
