I was expecting a soft-touch, crisper twill that would hold its shape but these are woven with a rougher texture that makes them feel like they have some linen in them, although description says 100% cotton. I do wonder if they'll wrinkle or droop if you pack the pockets. I didn't realize the hems w...ere somewhat banded, either. I'm a 10/12 with a meno belly and the mediums were snug in the waist, which threw off the drape. I may reorder in large if they come back in stock and see how significant the waist differential is.
The material in the photo doesn't look like the actual shorts. It's textured and unappealing. I liked the length and style. The material is just a hard no for me. Definitely returning.

I would buy these short in other colors, I like them that much! They are so comfortable and soft. I like that they are a fuller leg Bermuda short. I definitely recommend them. They are true to size and the hem falls at a good time lace for me at 5'4". The color is a more muted olive, which I love for summer. They will pair great with tanks and tees with sandals and move into fall with long sleeves and sneakers!

Love these shorts in the dried grases color so much that I bought the khaki color as well. Hoping that Old Navy will also produce them in coco de mer. I am 5'3" and the large size comes down about an inch below my knees, as I had hoped. I like the heavy twill fabric; despite having a good "hand" the material is very soft and drapey. Also love that they are 100% cotton. Saw no noticeable shrinkage after washing.
