I ordered two sizes due to several people claiming they ran small. I ordered my regular size 6p, and a size 8p. The 6 fit fine. I'm not sure if people are used to buying very stretchy jeans and squeezing into a size smaller than their usual or what. These are only 1% spandex. So they do have some st...retch but are not like jeggings. They are closer to "real" jeans. These are fitted in the waist and hips and get looser in the thigh. The petite length was listed as 29", I didn't measure but they do seem a tiny bit longer than my other 29" jeans. Rise is a tad higher than I'd consider to be mid, especially on a petite length jean.
I haven't shopped with Old Navy in a long time but I had jeans that lasted 7 years and come back for more. I found literally one style, one option, in my size, that was close to what I wanted. When they say loose bootcut, boy do they mean it. I couldn't have got this wide of a leg in the early 2000s... if I tried. They're almost a flare. I wear a size 12 in shoes and they nearly covered the WHOLE shoe!! Do you know how big a size 12 shoe is? Maybe 2 inches of the tip showed. When ordering I was bummed to see these were not available on long as I am 5'7 and prefer them long and baggy at the bottom. I was forced to order regular and to my surprise they're like 3+ inches longer than my feet. Like a LOT of them are going under my shoe when I walk. I prefer them to be tight around the lower stomach area to hold in everything and these are definitely not that. The worst part is they're super tight around the top where they button. So too tight at the button, but I'm swimming in them otherwise. The quality is great from what I can tell, but the fit is so odd! So the other questions I'm being asked about these jeans idk how to answer because it's mixed. Oh also these were supposed to be mid rise but come up almost to high rise. I hope somehow over time the waist will get broke in and the rest of them shrink.

These jeans fit perfectly. They were just tight enough around the hips and thighs to be flattering, but not too restrictive. I didn't think I would like the mid-rise, but they actually went a little higher than I was expecting, so I ended up liking them a lot.
