i sized up one and would recommend staying your true size or size up if you're curvier. try getting two sizes if its on sale. im normally a 12 or 14, i got both. theres a lot of gap in the waist. the shorts are not stretchy, but it is pretty thin and not the greatest jean material compared to thei...r older shorts material. these would look so good with girlies with longer legs or if u have a long torso too. the washes r all super cute in real life. i also find old navy jeans r inconsistent throughout their washes. the black wash will be a lil snug or fits true to size, whilst the light and dark blue wash will be really big.
I've bought these in two sizes now: first an 8, then a 6. My waist is around 29-30" — so if a brand is true to size, I'd run around a 10. Knowing ON often runs large, and after reading reviews, I sized down to an 8. They arrived way too big; the waist would've fallen off. The legs of the shorts look...ed cute extra baggy, but I wanted the waist to fit. So I exchanged them for a 6. The 6 fits nicely in the hips and butt, but the waist still gapes. Way too much room. I (regrettably) washed them on hot, thinking they'd shrink, but that didn't happen. So just beware! Cute shorts, nice, stiff denim, but the vanity sizing is outrageous. I'd recommend, but only with caveats.

These shorts are so cute, super 90's/early 2000's vibe and I love it. I'm usually a 6 and these were a tad bit more loose than I would've liked around the waist. I suspect it'll shrink *hopefully* the right amount after a wash/dry — a 4 would probably be too tight on me and that's not what I'm going for. For reference I have wider hips, an average mom of 1 belly (no abs), and a good amount of junk in the trunk🍑 Usually a small/medium, 6 sometimes can wear a 4 if stretchy enough.

They fit perfectly! I bought a size 8 and normally wear a size 8. I hate when my thighs touch chairs and I feel like I have to constantly pull them down when I wear tighter shorts, these help solve those problems. I'm curvy (about 140lbs), and they don't feel too tight.

100% cotton which is hard to find anymore. They run on the larger size so you need to order a size or two down. I imagine this is to allow for shrinkage when washing/drying since not spandex. I'm 5'7", 135 lbs, usually a size 8 but got a six and still plenty of room. Might could have gotten a 4 but l like room to move.
