I am always looking for shorts that are comfortable and at least 7 to 9" in length that are comfortable and flattering to my 5'10 Size 16 frame. Initially, I placed an order for one pair in black. After I received my order I immediately tried them on to see if they fit. Depending on how an item is... made, I can sometimes wear a size 14. I was so happy with the fit, I rushed back to my computer to order more. Unfortunate, the darker blues were sold out. I did order a pair in the lighter denim. The great thing about these shorts is that you can dress them up or down depending on the event. Thank you Old Navy!
First thing: the pockets are ABYSMALLY tiny. If you put your phone in the front pocket, be warned-- it will fall out should you lean over even an inch! Moving on to a more in-depth review: I went for these shorts because I'm a gal that enjoys a mom-jean style high rise and the plus size model was my... same height and size. However, either my long torso or not-insignificant stomach prevents the waist of the shorts from coming up to my natural waist without being very obviously hiked up (think the foot of a desert animal). So they sit a bit below which is not all that big a deal but I can't tuck my shirt into the shorts like I like to do. I do now notice that the model photos don't actually show the top of the shorts, so perhaps they don't reach their waists either. I do really enjoy the length, as it prevents the dreaded chub rub, and the legs don't ride up like some shorts will. Back to the fit, the legs do not have the same bagginess as in the model photos, so that's another factor to consider. The fabric is also less denim jean and more jegging. TLDR; Do they fit? yes. Do they fit the way I way I would like them to/how they do in the photos? no.

These are the best. Soft denim. Stretchy is the word. Perfect. Not snug anywhere. Wish I would have ordered more. But so many shades of denim are sold out. I am able to order two in the lighter denim colors. I love these. I have been looking for this fabric. These are them!
