Love the fit of this swim skirt! My old swim skirt from a different store was a simple solid color and was really long and stretched out from wearing while pregnant and postpartum. It felt very matronly. This skirt is still high-waisted for the tummy coverage, but the skirt is shorter -- and I like ...it! The front has coverage for times when perhaps I am going swimming last notice and didn't have time to shave/prepare, which is why I choose skirts to begin with. The back, with my big booty, is actually a little cheeky. Between the cheeky back and the slit, this is definitely not matronly and feels perfectly feminine but not too cutesy for a momma. I had also sized down based on the size chart (went with a M instead of a L) and while it is slightly snug, when bathing suits are wet they can kind of expand (and as I learned, over the years they can stretch out) and since I am generally chasing after a toddler or might need to jump in to a pool or water quickly I didn't need anything falling off so I figured buying slightly snug wouldn't hurt and I think I was right! Large would've been too large for me even though I tend to fall between a 10-12 in pants sizes. Overall I am surprisingly happy with this swimsuit and excited to retire my old one finally. #sweepstakes
Runs small compared to last year's version. My skirt from last year is a size XL but now fits me big so decided to order the L for this year and it's too small. Size 12 for reference.
