Soft and light, great for weight lifting, short runs. But be aware they do not pass the chub rub thigh chomp review. My thighs were hungry and decided these were a great snack. Going to wear them on a hiking trip in a couple of weeks, time will tell if they will cause thigh chap. Hopefully the light... and flowly material will negate the chap. I did purchase a size larger than I normally would due to availability, and these do run on the larger side. I would NOT size up.
I have a pair of these I bought last year and love, so I decided to buy two more this year in different colors. All three fit differently even though the same size. The new ones this year are thinner. Quality was better last year even though it's the same material. All three are made in different co...untries so probably why all the inconsistencies. Old Navy, please stop decreasing the quality in everything and keep the same as previous year.

Love these! I have an apron belly and they do what I want all shorts to do, kinda glide over it! They're the perfect high waisted amount. Perfect length, I'm 5'4". I will say I bought all the colors and the pink and navy fit the best, the others looked kinda weird so I returned, I got large, I'm a muscular build , 200lbs
