I bought this skort for my 8 year old and she loves it. The fabric is cottony but not really soft, which doesn't seem to bother her. It's a little shorter on her than I'd like it to be but the shorts underneath help with that. Overall it's a cute option for a sporty girl like mine! She's in between ...a medium and large and I am glad I got the large.

These are in style right now, so it was a must have for my 2nd grader. She said the fabric isn't the right one (cotton vs silky/sporty), but still liked the design. I got her size and thought it was too small that she will grow out soon, but when I checked one size bigger it was too loose and long, losing the cuteness of the skort. Waiting a year for it to fit wouldnt make sense with how fast trends come and go. Bottom line, don't size up.
