I'm a 140-pound, 5'5" cisgender female with a semi-muscular build, short torso, wide rib cage, 36-38" usual bra band size. I'm usually a Medium or Small in Old Navy tops. I've been looking for a short or slightly-cropped sleeveless "muscle tee" to wear over a sports bra and with my yoga leggings dur...ing heated yin yoga and during Lagree. After looking at the reviews and stock photos, I decided to try the Small (Regular) in Warm Taupe. The length was a tad longer than I was hoping for (but do-able) but the arm holes were super gaping. I ordered an XS (Regular) next to see if that would work, and it did--the arm holes looked fine over my sports bra, and the length was exactly what I was looking for (I guess about belly button height).

I recently bought a seamless athletic top from ON in a size Large. It was super cute right when I put it on...except it was so tight and rolled up a minute later. I do have an apple-shaped body with a belly, so I thought something looser would be better. Sadly this top goes wayyy in the other direct...ion. The armholes are huge. Not just in how low down they go, but there's also a lot of material that puckers out towards the front. This isn't a good look for anyone, but coupled with the high heck it definitely doesn't work if you have a large chest. Also kind of bothered that I didn't notice this, but on the stunning purple color they pair the top with a purple sports bra on the model. If you only catch that image it looks like the holes aren't that low. I'm not sure how to explain this, but the top also didn't seem well-designed in terms of sizing. Obviously it's a flowy top, but I felt I was swimming in it and like it should be a larger size. And I know this isn't the case with some ON tops I got years ago.

The color is a it appears in the photo. There is a bit of a dip under the armpit so your bra will show - just how it shows online.

I have sooo many workout clothes & these are my most favorite tops! The crop length is perfect - not too short. The fit is extremely flattering. And more importantly, the material is extremely comfortable & doesn't show sweat easily - even when I run, do HIIT, etc. I get compliments on these tops all the time. I hope Old Navy brings this tank back in new colors. I will literally buy them all! PS. I am 5'2 115 lb with a larger chest & I prefer the S, but can also wear the XS & M without any problem.
