The leggings are a nice weight and thickness, which was what I was looking for our 2 year old. She enjoys going out of the house early in the morning to see me and her big sister as I take her to school and the waffle knit leggings are just heavy enough on these cool November mornings to keep her co...mfortable for a few minutes of goodbye waves. This pink pair of leggings is just one of several that I ordered for our daughter. We liked them so much I bought several pairs in different colors to mix and match and make outfits with several of our daughter's shirts. We also use them with dresses, which makes for more outfits and can take those into the cool/cold months. I love that some of her dresses that are no longer long enough to wear alone as a dress can be paired with the leggings and she can keep wearing some of her favorite converted "shirts" a little while longer.
