The item image doesn't show the back, which is way cuter than expected with a little cutout in the top. The Large fits my athletic 13 year old *perfectly* The Eyelet is a little more mature option than a "baby bathing suit" but still modest and sweet.
The suit itself is really cute and fit my daughter well. We wore it for the first time to a friend's house for a couple hours to swim and I noticed immediately when she got out that it was pilling on her bottom. Assuming from sitting on concrete? She wasn't doing anything crazy to warrant that and w...e swim all summer long and I've never experienced that with any other suit. Normally happens after a long summer of swimming. So unfortunately one wear and ruined.
