I bought these for my 7 year old. Probably fit true to size, he is tall for his age and I bought a size larger for him. They do fit snug, but he likes them. Says they are comfortable. I have washed them a few times, so far no pilling. If unsure, buy a size maybe two larger, they can always grow into them.
