This dress is so cute. I was skeptical but decided to buy and try it on at home. It is form fitting but without making you feel like you are in a dress too tight to look good in. I am 5'4, 180 lbs. and have a large upper torso. I purchased a large because I don't like too tight-fitting clothes. ... This was perfect. Long enough to make it a maxi dress, loose enough to make it look like it fits well and comfortable enough to wear in the hot summer days in Miami. Like the fact that you can wear it as is, but a cute jacket over it or shall and anything else you want to dress it up a bit. I recommend it.
After reading other reviews saying to size down, i ordered the dress in both medium petite and my usual large petite. I tried the medium on and it fit perfectly, so i didn't bother with the large. However, the fit was a little too perfect and i probably wouldn't be able to get the zipper up if i gai...ned 5 pounds, especially given how stiff the denim is. The fit is a little funny because if i moved my shoulders, the back gaped open. I don't think I've experienced that with any other dress that fits well. The real issue is, one side of the bodice isn't sewn properly and gapes open at the top. I just read another review that mentions the same issue. It's such an obvious flaw even before putting the dress on, but also a weird flaw, like, how does that even happen, then make it all the way to the customer?

I had been looking at pinafore dresses at some high end stores, anxious about spending so much. I decided to search for all cotton similar dresses that I can wear a long sleeve shirt under and came across this for such a steal! Incredible. And because it's denim, it'll last forever. Very happy I looked at old navy and saved hundreds of dollars on something very similar at an on trend high end brand.
