Finally, a pair of women's dress pants that have an adjustable waistband! The inside of the waistband has adjustable elastic bands on each side with buttonholes and a button for a customizable fit, because we all need a little room to move from time to time. This design also eliminates the dreaded b...ack gap when the waist is a little too big, but I can't size down because of my hip measurement. The fabric is great quality, it's drapey enough to hang perfectly, but isn't thin or flimsy. These are true mid-rise. I would personally prefer a slightly lower rise, but I struggle to find a perfect pair of pants that don't need altered anyway. The thigh area is a little roomy, hence the four stars, but that is an alteration I'm happy to make, considering the great trade off with the other features. After searching high and low for great dress pants, this is the closest I have found to perfection.
I wanted to like these so bad. I have multiple colors of the Taylor wide leg trousers but I wanted them more fit at the hips but still wide leg or at least straight. (The straight leg Taylor tapers in at the bottom which I don't want.) These are great at the hips but they flare out at the outer thig...hs in a horrible way that gives you saddlebags. I'm 5'3", 140lbs, 38" hips, usually size 6 in old navy pants but the S (older) wide leg Taylor was a bit loose and my newer versions are a 2 that fit well but still have a baggy look. I purchased a 6 in these since reviews said the waist runs a bit small and I agree. They are mid-rise on me and I have a long torso, short legs. Look at the other reviews that also state the thighs are too big or stick out and if you notice all the photos they are all standing oddly to hide the outer thighs. I ordered all 3 colors and all 3 did this. They remind me of a curvy-sized pant. Crazy because I have muscular quads and these looked like equestrian pants on me.

The tall inseam also fits me perfectly (I am 5'11"). My only "complaint" is they ran out of my size and I cannot order more, in each colour... Old Navy, please do not discontinue these pants, I need to buy more!
