This dress was super fun! Very affordable dressy option. Wore it to a KY Derby/birthday party and the dress was great. Super comfortable and flattering in my opinion. I'm not quite sure why everyone is hating on the fabric. It is a typical more formal dress material. It's thick and heavy weight and ...felt like pretty good quality for the money in my opinion. I purchase formal dresses pretty regularly for cruises, events, etc., and everyone was very impressed by the quality and couldn't believe it came from ON. I'm just really shocked at the response in some of the reviews. I obviously don't receive any compensation for this review in any way, so this is just my two cents on a dress that isn't getting accurate assessment in my opinion. The sizing does run a little large I would say, but I am typically either a small or medium in ON and I am typically in a size 6 for ON. I purchased a small in this dress and still had some room in the waist area because of the stretch in the side panels.
I truly wanted to love this dress. I ordered it in the black, and it seemed like the perfect LBD. However, the material is the same as raincoat material. It makes the same "swish/swoosh" sounds raincoats do when you rub the material against itself. It looks cheaper in person. It was also hard to tel...l, but the sides (on the top under the armpits) are scrunchy stretchy material. The pockets are amazing and I love the bow straps. I ordered this in a long length (5'8") and it wasn't too short or too long. I do with the back of the straps were adjustable besides just the bow. The dress ended up being lower cut/hitting lower on my chest than expected. If the straps had been adjustable (other than the bow, because the bow would've been a ridiculous size/length), it would've hit up higher. The strapless bra I tried with this dress was too noticeable. Unfortunately because of the actual dress material I'm returning it. I truly wish it was made in any other fabric because I would've overlooked the other issues I had. But this material is no good.

Very flattering dress. Great price. Love the pockets and the adjustable tie straps. Ended up ordering two different colors! Wore dark green solid with tights for winter holiday event and will plan floral one for summer with bare legs.

This is probably my favorite purchase from Old Navy! The fit is true to size and the grosgrain ribbon bow straps are adjustable to suit differing bust sizes. The taffeta fabric is absolutely beautiful, it looks & feels high end. I bought the black floral and the color saturation is bright and vibrant. I am very impressed with the attention to detail in stitching ~ on par with much more expensive brands. I appreciate the added bonus of well hidden pockets ~ it does not add bulk to the waist. I am 5'5"/34A/128lbs, the small fits perfectly without needing the benefit of the stretch on the smocked sides. The length is on the shorter side but not "too short". I just ordered the navy floral as well. An overall win!
