I love these shorts so much. The length is perfect, the fit is perfect and they're not the stretchy denim that bags and sags after wearing it for a while. If you want stretch denim, you won't like these. I didn't want stretch denim and am so thrilled that these fit like a glove and don't get loose ...after a while. I love the delicate print on them too, it's a nice added touch. I haven't washed them yet and I'm hoping they won't shrink. I normally hang all my denim to dry anyway so I doubt this will be a problem. These fit true to size and that's what I like about Old Navy: consistent sizing!
I am usually a size 10, but sized up to a 12 bc of the annoying high waist. I like my shorts loose, slung, and comfy for hanging around the house and doing yard work. I do not want tight shorts, especially in the Florida heat. The size 12 fits the way I would have expected the size 10 to fit. Perfec...t actually. But I really wanted them to be loose and comfy. The other thing about this pair, the medium color with the shredded strings on the front of both legs, it puckers up in a very strange way. Since they are not taught on the leg, the puckers never smooth out while wearing and look really weird on the legs. I'm thinking cutting the strings might help release the puckered fabric some, but then a lot of leg will be exposed. I saw another customer mention in her review, that the strings were "missing"and looking at the photo she posted, my immediate thought is that someone cut the strings off in an attempt to release the pucker tension, and returned. #Sweepstakes
