I saw these jeans recently in person and even though they were high rise, I compared them to the mid rise boyfriend jeans I normally buy and the rise measured the exact same amount as the mid rise. I always have to buy a size larger in the boyfriend jeans because the waist is snug- (the difference ...between one size and the next size up is a huge difference and I have to take the waist in by 3") and then I tailor them by narrowing the legs and taking in the waist. So, the slim vintage would mean I wouldn't need to take in the legs and I bought the same size I buy in the boyfriend jeans- I assumed the waist would have to be taken in like the boyfriend jeans. I was optimistic as I pulled them on- I liked the quality of the denim and that they were 99% cotton. They fit perfectly except the waist was way too small! I just don't understand the sizing at ON. I understand that the boyfriend jean is going to be a looser fit- but why is the waist on the same size jean that much smaller? The rise should be based on the measurement of the rise. If they measure the same, why is it mid rise in one style and high rise in a different style? I really wanted these jeans to fit properly- I just don't want to spend so much time tailoring the boyfriend jeans anymore. Bring back the mid rise, straight leg No.7's- in 98 or 99% cotton please!
