These are the best running shorts I've ever bought in this category from Old Navy. They are high waisted stretch fabric for the waist which looks great with an Old Navy cropped tank tank tucked in or out! In Hawaii it can get hot so the fabric is lightweight and cool and the two front pockets are ...the best plus a small pocket in the waistband on the inside for keys or whatever. I am so glad that I bought 5 colors of these comfortable shorts plus they have a thin liner like a panty attached on the inside for more support. I'm so glad I ordered these shorts as I wear them practically everyday! I only wear Old Navy clothing as I know the sizing pretty well and I do a lot of ordering online more than going into our local Old Navy and I'm rarely ever disappointed. Thank you Old Navy for your speedy shipping and great customer service and beautiful consistent selection of clothing. Been wearing only Old Navy for 7 years now and counting!
As a disclaimer, I find Old Navy Curvy Jeans fit me best. I like the look of the wide waist band on these shorts, but unfortunately this pair did not work for me. Although the shorts fit in the rear, they were too large in the waist. Without a drawstring, I could not make these shorts work. I wish t...hey did - they color is great and the length and pockets were a plus.

This is my second pair - absolutely love them! The wide elastic band hits at just the right place for comfortable tummy control. The briefs are a bit big, but once adjusted properly allows them to be comfy as well and no wedgies. And pockets for the win!!!!

This style of shorts has been ideal for my postpartum body, as it nicely hides that little tummy area that stays with us for a few weeks after a C-section. The fabric is very breathable, and honestly, they are so comfortable for running errands or taking my baby out for a stroll in the stroller around the neighborhood.
