The fabric is stretchy and soft; only the top is double-lined, so it won't be too heavy for summer. It's safe for petites, I am 5 feet tall and the dress just barely reaches my ankles. It would probably be more of a midi dress for anyone of average height. The ruching at the waist is very flattering..., but the photos make it hard to see that the dress has a drop-waist look. And it has pockets! Overall, I think this is a great piece that can be dressed up or dressed down.
I so badly wanted to love this dress but its proportions are all wrong for me. The drop waist with the long, full skirt (much longer than pictured) made me look frumpy and stout. Looking back the model is posing in very contorted ways which should have tipped me off that there's something off with t...his dress. The fabric is beautiful and the top half draped well. Such a shame that I had to return it.

I recently bought this and another Christopher John Rogers dress and I love them both. Great fit and the off shoulder strap still works with a regular bra. It is super cute on. You should try it. For reference I'm 5'6" 170 lbs large boned/muscular build hourglass (mostly lol) and I bought a small and it fits PERFECTLY.

Beautiful fit and cut and I love the throwback print! I tried this on and was amazed at how comfortable and flattering this dress was. The off the shoulder style was a pleasant surprise as I could not tell the styling on the rack. Would definitely recommend it.

When I took it out of the package, I was like "ugh, I gotta figure out how this should sit" and then I put it on and it immediately settled right onto my body exactly where it's supposed to. Really appreciate that this is a well-made, well-crafted piece - I would expect no less of Christopher John Rogers. Fabric is very soft, it's a bit long on me (I'm 5'4") - more like tea length than knee, but that's fine.

I'm 5'3, 110 lbs. This dress came down to just above my ankles so I can wear flat sandals with it. For not having petite it fit me well. It hugs the body nice. Best part is that I actually don't need a special bra, because a regular black one works with one shoulder off to the side hiding under the off shoulder on the dress.

I LOVE this dress, although it is longer than I expected on me (5'4"). The "rainbow" is subtle, but pretty. The ruching in the middle helps disguise any fluffiness around middle.... Can't wait to wear it!
