This dress is very flattering & comfortable! I liked that the elasticized smocked bodice is 360° & not just the front. The skirt is light and airy (perfect for summer!) but doesn't require a slip. I also like that the back of the straps are adjustable! I'm only 5'3" & often "midi" dresses are like "...maxi" dresses on me, so I appreciate that this dress reached my shins. I gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1. The color is red, not orange. I purchased another dress in the same color description "Moonfish Orange" and it was definitely an orange (Scalloped-Edge Apron-Neck Shift dress). While I do really like the color & actually prefer it, Old Navy needs to work on their consistency & image lighting for accuracy. 2. It would've been nice to have pockets. I know- Old Navy has a lot of dresses w/ pockets (I bought them!) but I've been spoiled. Ha!
This is a very cute dress on the hanger, and I liked that the neckline and underarms come up higher so I could in theory wear to work on Fridays. The material isn't that comfortable and not very flowy, but that happens sometimes with Old Navy dresses and this was 50% off, so it is what it is. The ne...ckline doesn't seem exactly even, and the side panels of the dress weren't sewn for the pattern to match up. There's also some weird bunching and puckering of extra material under the arms to the point that it sticks out and folds over itself. I did see another review mention that, so shame on me. I'm large chested, so I thought that wouldn't be an issue if I got a medium, but it is VERY noticeable. Since the dress was 50% off, I think I can make it work with a denim jacket over top, but these are things to be aware of if you plan to wear the dress alone without a jacket/sweater.

I love the print on this dress. The shirring on the bodice is great and I wish more tops/dresses had this. It's a comfy, light cotton and perfect for summer. Keep making more cotton outfits. I love that the straps are adjustable, making the fit just right. The length is good.

I got this in the red and white check earlier and wore it a couple of days ago with a white cotton shrug. Got compliments on it from a couple of women in an elevator, Is very flattering, especially if you are smaller busted. I liked it so well that I ordered another one which arrived today in the orange, which is lovely.
