I'm usually between sizes and I had to size down to the XS. The fit was great, except that one strap would not stay up. It was the only extra small left in the entire store in this style of dress so I'm thinking that that one could have been defective. I ended up ordering online. Ordered one in whi...te and one in black. The patterned dresses seem to be a little lighter material whereas the solids definitely feel like midweight denim. Might be on the heavier side if intended for travel. I am a 32 C and the bust area fit just right without gaping or bulging cleavage. Could probably get away without a bra with the black one as the material is thick, but with the white I would probably wear nipple covers unless you're OK with just some slight nipple protrusion.
I love ON I have dozens of shirts and tanks and shorts I stock up (hoard lol) more every year. I tried a few dresses this year including this one in medium wash Denim and in Ecru and also tried the linen blend mini dress. They all were so wrong in the chest. Both of these midi dresses were structure...d so that the sleeves wanted to be too far out and no matter how much I pulled them up into the right place on my shoulders they would fall as soon as I moved. Also, when I put them up on my shoulders, the deep wide square cut of the chest gaped out. It wasn't a size issue, it was just made such that you would have to have the exact right width chest and broad shoulders otherwise it will not fit right. Same issue with the Linen dress, the chest area was structured such that your body has to be the exact shape for the dress to work. Seems like designs that are more forgiving to fit different shapes would make more money. I'm 5'9", about 150, usually 29/8 sometimes 28/6 in jeans and shorts. I tried these in small and small tall and while they fit everywhere they all had the sleeve falling or gaping chest issue so returned them. Also, why do they smell like they're soaked in formaldehyde? Lastly, a dress like this needs pockets!

I tried the blue print and the stripe. I am usually a M but my bust is small. I didn't want the straps slipping off, so I tried the S as well. Both fit me but S fit me better. The colors are cool and refreshing. All the prints are pretty but I always favor blue if I can find it. Its a good dress to wear by itself, with a denim jacket or with a T underneath

Very breathable dress for spring/summer. Slightly loose, but not in a bad way.
