My daughter and I were so happy to find shorts of this length! Other than bike shorts, most girls' shorts are barely long enough to cover her butt, and the inseam doesn't seem to increase with bigger sizes. As an 11yo, she finds this medium length much more comfortable. The stripes are also super-cu...te. We'd love to see more shorts like this at Old Navy. Size-wise, the cut is wider. Loose fitting pants and shorts are a popular trend for preteens and teens right now, but I'd still suggest getting a size smaller than usual.
I ordered these shorts for my daughter because they are adorable however I ordered a size 8 (M) and they are BIG! Maybe they were mislabeled during manufacture? They look like they can fit me! I was going to exchange however they are not sold out

I bought these for my daughter in every color! She loves the style, they are comfortable and modest. They look cool but are easy to run around in. The material is thick and sturdy. Note that the drawstring is for decoration only, it is not fully functional to tighten the waistband (would love that feature for when kids are in between sizes)
