I took up the corners of the back of the romper by about 1/4" and tightened up the middle of the front neckline and it fit perfect. If you don't sew, it might be better to return it or get it tailored. Otherwise, it gaps open and the cap sleeves fall off the shoulders. After it's tailored it is just... adorable. I got a great price and didn't mind altering it for my granddaughter. It it fit better it would be five star.
