These may be my favorite recent find. I got these after the other jean culottes were a fail. Just know: they are definitely loose. Almost a little too loose in the hip area. But comfortable. The thinness of the fabric is key to the comfort. Not stiff and soften up when you wear them. Wish the zip...per was better quality. The roominess extends to the crotch (tmi) and I thought that might send me over the edge. As pictured: they kind of hang down slightly. The seam in crotch area was a little thick, but I think will be okay. I decided to keep them despite their largeness for the comfort alone. Waist a little big. As stated: roomy. Thankfully the tie at the waist is fully functional and you can cinch them in. Not sure if I could go down from large to medium & frustrating bc the medium was not available to try on. Tale as old as time for me. I always seem to be between sizes at ON. Could try shrinking slightly in the dryer, but you know how that goes. They could end up shrinking in all the wrong places. The length now is good. The light blue color 100% compared the the golden color that is kinda yuck, I test wore them on a day in the low 70s in Houston area and they were a comfortable weight. Good Spring transition piece before the Summer heat hits. I think they will wash well and unwrinkle on their own.
I am 154 lbs, 5'4 1/2", usually wear a size 10 or 12, sometimes petite fits better in the rise on me than regular. For these, I went with petite L. They are HUGE, the rise is quite long, and not very flattering on my body. To wear as "midrise" the crotch seam hangs low and doesn't look or feel comf...y. They look well made, the light blue fabric is very soft and light weight which I love, but the L size is just too large, and cinched with the drawstring just isn't comfortable. I'd try a petite M if I could try on in the store, but they were not available in my store last week when I was there. I'm just afraid that the M might be too small, based on others' reviews who compared the extreme differences in sizes with this style, so I don't want to return for exchange via mail and reorder only to be disappointed. They are sold out already online anyhow. Anyone looking for a petite L, there will be one back in stock soon because I'm returning lol. #sweepstakes

Beautiful mustard color! Nice material. Runs a little big although they are labeled "baggy". I bought Tall Small. If Tall Extra small would have been an option I would have chosen them. But I am keeping them ...love the style!

I came across these callouts while I was scrolling on my phone and I am so glad that I did. I love the way they fit, they are comfortable and flattering. I bought them in both colors, the mustard yellow, and the chambray blue. I did have to order them online because unfortunately, my local Old Navy store did not carry them. I bought them in a large.
