I bought last year's version of these and they are my favorite pants. I've gotten compliments from complete strangers when I style them like 40s trousers. Last year they were a shirt-weight chambray, these are more of a lightweight pants denim. The elastic in the adjustable waistband feels sturdier ...this year, but since the fabric is thicker, it can't cinch the waist as well. I returned the 10 I ordered and bought an 8 and that laid nicer. That's not to say you should size down. I probably should've bought an 8 last year too, but with the lighter fabric, I could cinch the waist down and have that much more dramatic of a waist to hip ratio. I'm a little disappointed that they switched to button closures instead of hook-and-bar closures but that's fine. They're great jeans, just slightly less nice than last year.
Although I love the color and texture of these pants, the sizing is super wonky. For reference I am normally a 4 in other brands, and lean Tall fit at 5'9", however old Navy sizing seems to run super big and super tall for Tall fit. But the regular runs super short on me (sigh). I really wanted t...o love these. The 2 tall is far too large and long for me, and While the 0fit would have worked — the regular is too short and they don't offer a zero in a tall. Please make these in a zero tall - I would love to give them a try! but the tall fit is way too tall, the regular fit is way too short, and the 2 is too large
