Really like the style and cut of this and the thicker stretch fabric but here are some observations for those ordering online: (1) I often buy Petite due to being 5'4" with a short torso. I am a size 14 or 16 with an hourglass figure (narrow waist with a 38DD chest; broad shoulders/back; high hips ...and a round booty). The XL Petite was not long enough for me through the body — the straps were digging in at the top of my shoulder, but it seemed to fit good through the bust/waist and hip/butt area. The shorts underneath were a little big at the bottom. Worried they might ride up. (2) The XL is often too large on me in some ON items, so I also ordered this in a size L Regular also. The L was definitely too small for me (so probably more true to size instead of oversized). The waist/ribcage fit, but smushed my chest terribly and made the skin on my back bulge over. Yuck. Lol. The L did fit through the butt/hips, but was a bit snug because the skirt bunched up a bit at the top of my hips (as opposed to flowing smoothly over the tops of my hips — if that makes sense). Am exchanging both for an XL regular. Will post a new review on that one when received, but hopeful the XL regular is the perfect fit. As an aside, I liked the length of the skirt overall because in the XL, it fit me longer than most athletic dresses — a few inches above my knees (whereas most tend to be mid-thigh length) — which I prefer since I am older. * If you are hourglass or pear shaped, recommend buying true to your size. * If you are thicker through the middle/apple shaped, recommend sizing up — it is definitely more "fitted". * If you are longer in the torso (or over 5'6"), consider trying the Tall in your regular size.
