The red coat wears much better than the black and the brownish tan coats. They are all made from different fabrics. The red one is much heavier and feels better. I loved it so much that I bought two additional ones as Christmas gifts and would buy it again. Totally different story for the black and ...the tan, they don't wear well at all. After one to two wearings, they develop A LOT of pillings all over. Especially on the arms and near the pockets. They look like I've been wearing them for years when, in fact, I've only had them a few months. I don't wear either of them daily or even weekly. Thankfully, I have an electric lint remover, but you should not have to do this every time you wear these coats, but if you don't want them to look a complete mess, you have to. I did purchase another black one as a Christmas gift before I realized how disappointing it was. I would definitely not recommend black or tan. Because it is a relaxed fit I exchanged XL for L.
Compliments first: The cream color is gorgeous, the material is soft, the lining is great. It feels like a high-end coat and I was so excited to get it. Buuuuuut the sizing is awful. I'm a solid size XL who sometimes goes up to XXL for pants, 5'1" with a short torso. I was absolutely swimming in th...e XL Petite in this coat. I looked like a little kid wearing my parents' coat. Buttoned all the way up with room to fit a small child in there with me. Even the petite was a good half a foot too long. The arms draped down way past my fingertips and were SO WIDE. Worse, when they resized this for smaller frames, they didn't actually bother moving the shoulders or arms, so basically the arm holes start by the lower ribcage, and there's just masses of unnecessary material there, deeply unflattering. I should have known by the way they have the model in the photos posed to hide the arms that the arms were bad on this coat. Fell for it again. Now, if the cream hadn't sold out a week ago, I might try to go down to like a M petite. But that won't fix the problems with the cut on this coat. For comparison, my 6'0" husband (men's XL or L tall) tried on this women's XL petite coat for fun and it actually fit him pretty well in the shoulders (although it was a few inches short in the arms, since he has long arms). So disappointing.

My son told me it was time to stop wearing activewear when I go out, and he was right. Even if we don't like to admit it, first appearances matter. Needless to say, I bought this coat, and the black one, too! My son—who is very stingy with compliments and only gives them when deserved—kept telling me how elegant I looked. I appreciate that honesty. Both coats have received many compliments. Although I am currently at my heaviest, I am losing weight quickly (down almost 200 lbs), and the XL fits perfectly. I also bought a Large; it closes, but it's tight. This coat is very elegant, and since it was on sale, I had to buy a few."

Loved this beautiful coat. It was classy looking & the fabric was nicer than I expected. Unfortunately I did not order the correct size. My correct size was gone by the time the wrong size was delivered. But there is always next year. Thank You Old Navy! You help me dress within my budget and look nice also!
