I ordered these jeans online, in a size 12, medium wash and absolutely love the fit! My review however, will be about the cleanliness of the jeans, and not the fit. Before I start, I will say that the jeans came sealed in plastic, and didn't have any visible dirt stains on them when I opened them. ...I have taken to washing many of my clothes by hand—especially my jeans—to help preserve the overall life of my clothes. To my surprise, when I went to wash these jeans by hand, the water that came out was a murky, dirty yellow color. I had expected to see some kind of blue, from the wash of the jeans, which I know is somewhat normal with new, dark colored clothes. I can assure you that the water from my pipes was running clear, and that I hadn't added any detergent or soap to the water at the time of taking the pictures. I am writing all of this to say—PLEASE WASH YOUR CLOTHES BEFORE YOU WEAR THEM! It's apparently not sanitary to wear clothes right off the rack or out of the bag. I already knew about this from hearing a family member who worked in retail, tell me about how garments are often thrown about behind the scenes, but that's a story for another time… As I said, the jeans fit well, but please, to protect your skin and overall health, don't wear clothes from Old Navy, or any other store before you've washed them, because it's not worth it. I am in no way trying to demonize Old Navy, as I've shopped this brand for years, and will continue to do so. I just want other customers like me to have some knowledge about the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the clothes they're buying.
The jeans themselves are fine, a non-stretch classic "mom jean" fit that can be dressed up or down. I have an apron belly, so these are a little snug when I first put them on, but not terribly. There is some slight distressing which wasn't clear to me from the photos, but they look chic with the rig...ht top and accessories. I knocked off two stars because these came out of the bag with that infamous Old Navy jean chemical smell. It's like a combination of mothballs, chlorine, and formaldehyde. I know from experience that it will take several washes and drying outside to remove it. This has been going on for YEARS with many customers complaining. I'm finding now that these jeans are showing up in stores and stinking everything up. It doesn't matter which dye is being used. I wish that Old Navy would work with its manufacturers and warehouses to address the issue.

Super flattering, straight dark ankle jeans should be in everyone's closet. The elegant capsule. I am 5'4, 131lbs. I have size 4 and it has a little room so as to not be too tight but I could probably do a 2 if I felt like sucking in hard to pull the zipper. :( I hope they never stop making these

All I have to say is I hope Old Navy never stops making these jeans. They are thick, hold shape, and versatile. I got the ripped in a tall to roll the bottoms up for a fun look but wear a regular and they hit right at the ankle for me

I lost 50lbs and wanted to see if I could actually fit a size 14 and was shocked that I did! If you're not really blessed in the back these do it. They don't necessarily give you a huge boost back there but they don't take away either. To me they are just perfect for my body type.
