First of all, I have bought three of this dress and am going to try to dye the other two, because I'm desperate for other colors/washes of this item. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the highest quality piece of clothing I've ever bought from Old Navy. It's 100% cotton, no stretch denim. Heav...y weight, beautifully cut. I'm pushing 40 and I've had 20 year old girls tell me how cute this dress is. Be aware that the styling is key. If you buy your regular size, it will swallow you and feel like you're wearing a potato sack. I bought a Medium Petite - and I usually am a Large Tall. Yes, the sleeves are way too short (I cuff them), but buying the shorter version pulls the waist up and gives you a more tailored look rather than baggy/oversized. I am obsessed with this dress and will wear it until it wears out!
I'm not sure if I'm going to return this dress or exchange it. As one reviewer said, it's very stiff and heavy. However, that's a sign of quality denim and I was pleasantly surprised at the substantial nature of it. But, it is almost a coat. Frankly, it may be heavier than the spring coat that you o...wn. It came wrapped in a poly bag, and my bag was so heavy on the porch when it was dropped off. I'm like what did I order in here? I think, as shown on the models here, the stylist clipped the side that isn't showing to the camera to nip in the waist. The silhouette I see in the mirror is giving gunnysack. Frankly, I got this to hide a little tummy bulge, but it's making me look like a linebacker in the shoulders. The seam of the shoulder is coming a third of a way down my bicep.
