I sew, and I know a good cut when I see one. This dress is biased cut in the front, so it drapes very well. The keyhole is a nice touch and the flutter sleeves are just enough coverage. Overall the design looks expensive but the price is very reasonable considering bias cut waste a lot of fabric.... I thought this dress is better designed than the Zac Posen special occasion dresses at the GAP (sorry Zac). The fabric is a nice pliable satin that is not stiff. I am almost 5 foot 1 so I bought a petite M and it fits perfectly in length. When I was younger and 105 lb, I would have carried it off like the original model's picture. I'm glad Old Navy is using different size models to show how the dress would look on someone with a different body type. I thought that the dress was flattering for both body types. I am glad that this dress is not snug. The color is lovely but louder than what I would choose. I wish they offered it in a neutral color such as a taupe. Love it still.
I love the look of this dress. It's flattering and very pretty! However, there are a lot of issues, at least with the dress I received. The material pulls very easily, leaving pull lines across the dress. The sleeves on my dress were totally uneven, so my bra strap was exposed on one shoulder but no...t the other. I actually had to sew the shoulder together another half inch myself to make the shoulders match and hide my bra! The front keyhole was also asymmetrical, longer on one side than the other. Altogether, just not the quality I was hoping for. I'll add, the dress arrived with no tags, so I also think I received a return. But it was the last Tall Medium available so I made it work.

I'm 5'7", 210lbs. I first bought XL regular, my normal old navy size. A bit large especially in chest area (I'm a 36 C on a good day). I also needed it to be floor length and the regular was about 3 inches above my ankles. I then tried the XL long, length was great, but the chest portion hung low. L long was the sweet spot. Long enough, lightly hugged my curves. I think very flattering for someone who carries more weight in the bottom thigh area, it sits nicely!
