I was looking for a dressy skirt with a bit of versatility. Read a lot of the reviews before ordering. and here is my take on this FAB skirt: Taffeta will make noise... cuz well, its taffeta but it is really not bad. I am 5'4 150lbs and bought a large, the small would have been just fine. The bac...k is elastic band but not obvious. and we all LOVE pockets! I have a party to go to this weekend and I will def wear that skirt with the nice crisp slim shirt I just got from Old Navy as well, a big belt and there we go. But I have to admit I will def wear it and wear it and wear it... with my fav shoes... White sneakers! I even have enough room to add a tutu under for classier affairs. Totally Great! Some people had issues w the elastic band after washing, I did not. Just as other garment with a thick band, make sure u straighten it and put it back in place before hanging to air dry.
I'm really torn on how I feel. The skirt was true to size. I bought the polka dots and got the matching top. The top and skirt look EXACTLY like the photos. I bought the sizes that fit my true measurements. I bought a large skirt with the medium top. Since the skirt is high waisted, it covers my lit...tle tummy well and slims me down. Everything fit perfectly and together as a set is REALLY cute. I haven't taken it back and I'm still debating… I really don't like the material. I don't think the swoosh sound is "too much" per se. But there is, in fact, a sound. I don't like the idea of being dressed so cutely and sounding like I'm wearing a tracksuit. The material does take away from the set. Because of the "plastic" material, I don't see this as a "dress up or down." The material makes it where it can only be casual. I want to love this soooo bad, that's why I'm debating on the return. I read the reviews, and thought I would get past the material critique. I didn't….

It has pockets and I already had the top and was so excited this popped up again in my size. I normally wear 8-12 in pants so large was perfect. The length is great at 5'6

I bought this in the Red Petite color and love it. The fabric, fit and cut of the skirt is great! I then ordered the Black petite. I think the weight of the fabric lends it to be worn for multiple seasons and occasions. It's not too heavy or overtly shiny. I do hope they make this style again in other prints too. Right now they're all sold out. Thankful for petite and tall sizes at Old Navy!
