The "Athletic" cut is definitely the way to go for a shorter, heavier person (5' 7" @ 265 lbs) with pretty short but thick legs, these fit perfectly. They aren't tight on my hips, waist or, thighs which is a nice change. They look "right", it doesn't look like a someone trying to fit into the wrong ...size like a sausage link in chino's. The amount of give and stretch if perfect as well. I don't feel like I'm going to have a "blow out" if I crouch down or bend over to pick something up. Highly recommend to anyone.

Why does ON insist on ruining a good thing? I purchased the Athletic Tech pants in August, and they were PERFECT! Soft, comfortable, great fit, and great looking. This updated 4.0 version is horrendous! The texture and feel of the fabric is awful, almost like a bad rain jacket, and they wrinkle a...s soon as you put them on. Also, the tapered fit squeezes my calves. I regret buying 3 pairs. Like I said, it is disappointing that ON comes out with a great product, only to change the material or the fit months later to save a few pennies. Losing a lot of faith in a brand I have relied on for the past decade or so.

These Chino pants feel amazing. The color is great I got the blue color and it honestly looks better in person. Fits great, you can use it as dress or casual occasions. The material is breathable so no worries on them making you hot or sweaty like some other pants do.
