These are incredible shorts. The elastic band is nice. I do not need the drawstring but others may enjoy it. Pockets are NICE! The shorts are soft and thick — not thin like other linen/cotton shorts. They do sit high but they are comfy. I am wearing them for the first time today so I don't know how they will hold up in the wash but I can imagine they will still be soft and durable. My new absolute favorite! I ordered a L. I am 5'4 and 201 lbs with *wide* hips due to having a kid. These fit perfectly!
