The fitting was tight for my 1.5 year old who is currently 5 in other brands. I wish there was a larger size, but I only noticed the sizing was off much later which lead to the color I what being out of stock. It seems sturdy, but I recommend sizing up or getting normal size plus another in one size... up to determine the correct fit. Children can't tell us their feet hurts in some cases, but by observing my baby, he was walking with a shuffle and his big toe was all the way to the front of the shoes.
