i sized up one and would recommend staying your true size or size up if you're curvier. try getting two sizes if its on sale. im normally a 12 or 14, i got both. theres a lot of gap in the waist. the shorts are not stretchy, but it is pretty thin and not the greatest jean material compared to thei...r older shorts material. these would look so good with girlies with longer legs or if u have a long torso too. the washes r all super cute in real life. i also find old navy jeans r inconsistent throughout their washes. the black wash will be a lil snug or fits true to size, whilst the light and dark blue wash will be really big.
I am normally a curvy size 12 and tried on two washes in a size 12 in this short and found them both very snug! If you have curvier hips/bottom, best to size up one size in my experience. Colors are lovely in person!

For a curvy girl these are perfect! The leg openings are wide, the waist comes in so there is no gap at the back. I was having such a hard time finding jean shorts and these are perfect. And great length! Not too short and not too long!

I love these shorts! I don't like tight fitting denim shorts and I like the baggy fit, so these are perfect! The length is long enough to not have the chub rub (iykyk) but still looks cute. I usually wear a size 6 in Old Navy jeans and the waist on these are a bit loose, but I kind of like that fit. If you're wanting a snug waist, I would size down.
