Cute, but shorts run really big

This is a really cute set, but it's almost as if the shorts are 2 sizes larger than the shirt. We got a size Small 6-7. My husband thought the shorts were mine 😂

The extra large is actually a 14-16 not a size 12 like advertised. I will have to return because they are huge on my daughter.
