I know it's meant to be a base layer, but I was expecting it to be a little thicker. Even with a bra underneath, my nipples can still be noticeable. In my opinion, it should have a bit more coverage since, during breastfeeding, nipples can become hard quite often. I'm usually a size S, but based on how fitted it looked in the photos and the size chart, I ordered a size L. It fit exactly as I expected since I wasn't looking for a tight fit, and the adjustable straps make it easy to customize the fit.
