Originally I bought an XXL, but it was way too big in the waist for me. I have shortish legs and torso with an apron belly, so I wear skirts right under my rib cage. The length was fine in the XXL but truly it was falling off of me and I looked like I was wearing a cereal box. So I returned and exch...anged for the XL. It fits okay in the waist, but I probably couldn't tuck anything in besides a skintight bodysuit or maybe a tshirt. The pockets were bowing out, but then it fit tight around the hips that I don't really have, which made the bottom flare out weirdly. The length was slightly shorter too. I guess I should have kept the XXL and hoped to find a good seamstress who could work with corduroy, but that felt unlikely and ridiculous. I need a size in between XL and XXL. I'm devastated because I really wanted it to work. It's a cute skirt! Probably best for straight/athletic body types or maybe hourglass if you have smaller hips.
