seems comfy but worried about the fabric

They seem comfortable and look cute. However, I do worry about the fabric holding up. I've only washed them once so far though but there is a bit of a difference from when I received them.

My 4 year old wore these at home just one timr when I discovered a hole in the pant leg. She wasn't rough playing or anything for them to rip that easily. Very disappointed.
