Absolutely love this dress! Wore it as the guest of the wedding. I'm genuinely surprised by the quality—it's so much better than expected. The fabric has a lovely weight to it—not too thick, but substantial enough to stand out from the typical flimsy garments you often find these days. That extra we...ight allows the simple cut to drape beautifully and skim the body in the most flattering way. The stitching is solid too. It's one of the very few clothing items I didn't have to inspect with scissors in hand—no loose threads anywhere, which was a nice change. Fit-wise, it worked great for my body. For reference: I'm 5'8", 155 lbs, and wear a 34B. I carry most of my weight in my hips. I wore it without a bra, using silicone adhesive cups instead, and had no issues adjusting the straps for a perfect fit around the chest. I ordered a size M in the long version because I wanted that true maxi length, and it turned out just right. It could be even a little more fitted in general, but thanks to the weight and flow of the fabric, it still hung beautifully. I purchased the coral red and adore the color—but I wish it came in more shades! I'd definitely buy it again in a dark navy, deep green, or cranberry if those ever became available.
Ok so I know I am an outlier here with this review. While this dress is good quality with a lovely sheen and impressive weight to it, I think it is maybe more flattering on certain shapes than others. The design focus is on the cowl in the back which gives no definition at the waist. I have a 12 in...ch difference between my waist and hips and this dress leaves lots of extra fabric around the middle, hiding any kind of shape. If you are more athletic or up and down build this dress will probably work for you, but hourglass and pear girlies: heed my warning.
